Codfish drying and storing

Codfish drying and storing

Cod is hung to dry in the open air for approximately 90 days. It is then stored indoors and selected for quality and export mostly to Italy where it serves as the main ingredient in a dish called 'Bacalao'.
Thousands of acres are used to hang out dried fish in winter and spring on the coast of Norway.

Rock formations seen from Kabelvåg Harbour

Many have stayed or - like myself -come back each year.

Pøbel

Pøbel (meaning hooligan) is a pseudonymous Norwegian street artist. He is best known for the Getto spedask project, decorating abandoned buildings on the Lofoten islands along with notable collaborator Dolk. Both were later commissioned to decorate the central railway stations in both Oslo and Trondheim. His real name and age are not known.

Lambs at Eggum

The lambs that roam around freely along the coasts get their daily portion of salty grass growing on the slopes and hills around them. Hence their tasty meat is of high and pure quality and has won international prizes on many occasions.
